PLTA Legislative and Judicial Activity
PLTA represents and protects the interests of the title industry and
title professionals on the legislative and judicial fronts. We look
after your business by being your voice in Harrisburg and on Capitol
Hill.
The Legislative and Judicial Committee of PLTA is on the front line
with the legislature in getting important bills passed. For example,
the current Mechnics' Lien, Mortgage Satisfaction and Deed Registration
laws were the products of this committee.
PLTA also has legislative counsel in Harrisburg, Crisci Associates,
who constantly monitor legislation and stand with PLTA in all of its
legislative effforts.
In addition, PLTA represents your interests in the Courts of the
Commonwealth. Successful suits against Recorders of Deeds, the
Philadelphia Sheriff and School Districts have insured the sanctity of
the public record.
